Lyrics
Down, Down Diggi De
Down, Down Diggi De
Down, Down Diggi De
Down, Down Diggi De

It's friday and I'm feeling bored
I don't feel like I wanna be home alone
See tonight I'm gonna be hittin' this town
Ain't no foolin' around
So put your dancin' shoes on
Let's start to boogie
Don't wanna hurt nobody
I just want to get down

Down, Down Diggi De
Down, Down Diggi De
Down, Down Diggi De
Down, Down Diggi De

It's getting late and nobody said they're ready
We don't wanna leave
Cause we're having such a good time
Shake it to the left
Get down on the right
Don't matter what you do
As long as you get down

Down, down diggi de
Down, down diggi de
Down, down diggi de
Down, down diggi de
Somebody get up-somebody get down

Standing room only
Ain't nobody sitting at this party
As the DJ plays this song
Everybody's having fun
Get up and jam on the one
Come on, help me sing my song
Cause we be jammin', we be jammin'
We be jammin' all night long

Down, down diggi de
Down, down diggi de
Down, down diggi de
Down, down diggi de

Da da da da he da da da
Da da da da ho da da da
Da da da da you da da da
Jamming on the one
Da da da da he da da da
Da da da da ho da da da
Da da da da you da da da
Jamming on the one

Getting on down
Getting on down, down
Down, down diggi de
Down, down diggi de
Get up somebody
Get up somebdy
Hey

Adlib to end

Excellent
I'm reminded of some of George Duke's early work.
Excellent song, musicanship and production.
I look forward to hearing more.

Quirky meets totally hip
The use of unusual percussion, too-high flute, and quirky
beatbox drum sounds is really interesting, creating a sort
of stark light hip almost comic groove over which you
place totally cool vocal layers and make the song into
something much greater than its parts. I love the
percussive electric piano sounds and the in-out bass part
that leave lots of room for your superb voice. You sound
almost Commodore like on this one, and I love their funk
R&B stuff. Light, it brings out a different side and is a
great track added to your others for placing
somewhere in the middle of an album. (You are planning
to put out something, right? You stuff certainly deserves
to be out there.) Full of smiles and totally enjoyable.

Quirky meets totally hip
You explained how we were feeling exactly. We are working on an album, this
song is some older stuff. Right now our plate is full. Working with a female
hip-hop artist, a male hip-hop artist, doing studio work. We're also in the
process of putting together a weekly podcast featuring our music and the
music of artists we produce.
