Description
'Coalesce' as you may, or may not, know has been in development for a few years now. Just check earlier versions further down my song list for proof. Well, I believe I have now finished the damn tune - perhaps you could let me know otherwise.

It will going up on iTunes soon, and in three different flavours. Original, Instrumental and this Radio Edit version.

This abbridged Radio Edit has had about two minutes cut out of the original version. No brief piano intro, no guitar solo, the middle eight is shortened and melded with the first chorus, and the first half of the musical outro is gone. Rest assured they're all back for the original version and most are back, although sans words - obviously, in the instrumental version as well.

I hope you enjoy. All questions, comments and indignant remarks are welcomed.

Creative pop song... very...
Very interesting and unexpected break at 1:52!

The key-change at 2:19 then caught me entirely by (pleasant!) surprise. The development at 2:48 was quite unexpected. And to end the whole darned thing with a finger-snap... cool.

Quite a bit more song than I had expected ... quite a bit more song than the first half had led me to expect. (And I trust that you will take that in precisely the right good way.)

Great edit
So good. Man, I'd listen to the radio if this is what they played. The fingersnap is a great end, although the ending coda length is anti-climactic, in my ears. I'd cut off last half of coda, have it just be 8 instead of 16 (4 instead of 8?) bars. Might be cuter that way, not sure. Your vocals and inventive transitions are fab. Super track.

I know what you're saying...
I know what you're saying... And I do have a version with the shorter coda but it always felt unresolved. It's probably one of those personal prefs type of things. You could be right, I may be wrong, but ultimately I had to be true to my gut. Thanks for the feedback.

I'd keep it
for a radio edit it's good. If anything, I'd have the first 4 bars of piano on it's own as an into, then go into it. For the end, the host would be talking over the last 8 on the sidechain while they fade it out.

So well developed!
I love all the fancy footwork which you make sound so easy. An all-round excellent production on a classy song. I agree with Tobin about the ending - half the coda would work better, but regardless, it's firs class music all the way.
Cheers from Oz,

I Can Hardly Wait...
... for the elevator muzak version. :P

Nicely done, but a rather curious cannibalization. I'm not sure it would fly well as a radio edit sans guitar solo, but then again... what do I know?

Anyways, your productions are always first-rate, my friend. ;)
