Description

So I leave for college next week, and I'm leaving a lot behind. Thankfully I'll at least only be a couple hours away! But the shock of leaving is finally catching up so I wrote a song inspired by these feelings of sadness. Just started off with four chords and got to composing and recording and the next thing I knew? I had made a pretty awesome song in about a couple hours! It kinda makes me think of a Ke$ha ballad, but hey, wouldn't surprise me. Can't get Ke$ha outta my head ever since a friend took me to her concert recently! Hope you guys like it! This one means a lot to me! :)

NICE!
Firsties! Pretty sweet for a couple hours of work. Very polished sounding. Gives a me a Dido or Jem feel. This has a cool combination of synth sounds that fit nicely with your delicate vocals. Arrangement-wise, the song progression works. I am wishing for maybe a stronger climactic final chorus or bridge as the mood is fairly subdued throughout. Good stuff.

	soft vox perhaps too soft... your voice is very nice, and should likely be a little louder so it sparkles with the music. Impressive song structure and harmonyvox, enjoyable listen. 	Why thank you! Yeah still getting the hang of the mixing... I used a mix of two drums loops, which one outta curiosity did you not like as much? One was a simple downbeat and the other was more moving. Anyways, thanks for listening and commenting! :) Check out my latest song called The Way

apple loops are great but theyre pretty common so if you want a unique sound, you may either: make your own loops or search around a little more; there are plenty of gems out there that are not so commonly used. that's all. heck, I also use apple loops but mostly for demo purposes now. just to get a song structure up as soon as possible. but if you really want that sound to be your own, gotta make it sound like your own :)

	I completely agree bout creating your own loops, which is actually my preference. Just sometimes I have an idea of what I want and I can't execute it, cuz percussion is one of my weaknesses. Check out my latest song called The Way

	Soulful The lyrics are heartfelt - full of expression. Nice vocal tone, although personally I'm not a huge fan of the synth-like voice - you have such a pure sounding voice that I wouldn't have thought that necessary. However, that's a personal taste..
