It's always a struggle and too often I loose but if I have made progress much of it is thanks to you Scotty. Your posts are always models of clarity and taste and something to shoot for. And a while back you gave me a heads up on a great deal on the Miroslav Philharmonik which I've been using to augment my samples. Thanks for the inspiration and the kind words my friend. So you know my mind keeps placing your work in a big wide open america and despite the powerful picture you have used, my mind experienced a rail road being built and wondered about the men 's stories who were building it. Sun... This is a great mixture of ethnic instrumentation with symphonic sounds. The steady rhythmic melody gives to the whole thing dramatical atmosphere of a journey ... maybe sorrowful but keeping hope alive. The slight harmonical changes create a nice cinematic feel. Hi Charlie...... I'm sorry for not adding my thoughts to this wonderful piece of music before now. I heard it when you uploaded it but then was side tracked before I could comment. The piece is perfect, to both the title and the stark image of the woman and baby. The instruments chosen fit the mood of the piece in every sense and it is a piece that I will have with me to listen to many more times. Take care. This is very fine work indeed Charlie! It is so nice to hear improvements for us over the years not that your earlier compositions were not enjoyed.
I hear a higher level of tone quality probably due to access to improved samples these days. As always thanks for sharing this beautiful work.
