in 1981
I drove around listening to dj flash on ktkr out of taft. the am signal was crackly and faded in and out but the music was incredible. much better than the rock of the era. my friends thought I was nuts but I knew I'd tapped into the zeitgeist. thriller came out a year or two later and killed it for me. when everyone knew it wasn't fun anymore
