Wow
This has a great tone. you get a new toy? I think we can expect great stuff. what kind of mic are you using?

toy
The mic is a "pick up the world" clip-on especially made for wind instruments.

I'll leave you guessing for a bit about the toy. It's a bit of a one-trick pony, but it's a pretty good trick.

....
Really good. The split stereo had a nice effect on the overall atmosphere of the track. Did you use some kind of flanger or phaser? You can really get the effect when you have that droning flute playing the single note.

split
That's the Logic Spreader plugin. It does modulation of some kind so you get a flanging effect. Otherwise the track would have been mono.

Ethreal
Interesting choice of scales as well, not purely western, nor Native American, nor eastern. Unique blend of worlds here.

Almost haunting
but lovely sounds. Sounds like harmonics bouncing all over the place. You do this stuff well.

Wow.
Beautiful...I will def have to look into more of your music Vic. Such a talent. Though my music may not show it I am a huge fan of meditative frequencies, harmonies, ambience, and tones. the universe runs off vibrations, thanks for making the world turn.

Outside
it's blowing a gale and the trees are swaying madly and somehow the music seems to fit.

Very nicely done Vic. Great sound and feel.

I think
the 'toy' you speak of is a 'Loop Machine' of some kind, enabling you to kind of 'relay' what you're playing. Lovely tone to the flute-s and very jolly dancing in the Moonlight..... puts me in mind of clear frosty nights somehow, regards M

Ah, a voice is heard.
Reading that you feel neglected, I have come to comment. I hope this makes you feel better.
The sound is improved. Allow me to suggest, in all honesty, the phrasing here is no more interesting than your previous outings in this genre. Yet it is your voice and a somewhat unique amalgam of a lot of studied listening. That work earns my highest respect. Bravo!
I hope you will continue to post your work at MJ. The place would not be the same without you!

OK, first I thought it was a drone N.A. flute
but the melody dips below the drone and the drone changes, so now I'll guess you have an aural mirror that you bounce the tones between. The angle of the bounce determining the length of the bounce. No? I'll let someone else guess, then. I do love the sound very much, though.

you hi-tech lady you....
You got it. The drone changes. I bought an Electro-Harmonix "Freeze". Everytime I click the footswitch, it freezes the current sound. So I use that to change the drone throughout the piece. Nifty toy, eh?

Practising my Guitar....
Listening to thisI leaned in to the notes you were playing, a lead guitar
deep in reverb playing what you are playing sounds real cool ....
I was just messing around, you've got 6 notes the inflection is the key
guess you did this on an impov...basis so it would have to go with your flow but not hard to do....

Just a thought........nice feel.....

Neat way to use the Freeze...
Having drones but being able to vary them and even improvise with them is a cool idea...

This also sounds very good aside from experimental considerations. No spots where the effect or the intent trumps the musicality...

You cover a lot of interesting musical ground, Vic...
