Description
This song is essentially the same as that previously posted, but greatly enhanced by Loob's percussion, and I thought it worth offering up again to see if others agree. Freddy also remastered it for me.
With thanks to Freddy for his support and expertise!

Lyrics
The Broken Ground
I’ve seen hosts of angels,
Fighting just for me,
And I’ve seen heaven’s glory,
So beautiful and free,
But tireless and fell are they,
That keep the field in Satan’s pay,
And on and on and
on and on and,
on and on and
on and on and,
on,
the battle goes....
How bright the light immortal,
It’s more than words can say,
And the undying evil,
How powerful are they,
But mortal is the suffering field,
Where neither God nor Devils yield,
And though the horns and
Bugles sound,
They stamp and run,
And fight so hard upon,
The broken ground.
I’ve seen hosts of angels,
Fighting just for me,
And I’ve seen heaven’s glory,
So beautiful and free,
But tireless and fell are they,
That keep the field in Satan’s pay,
And on and on and
on and on and,
on and on and
on and on and,
on,
the battle goes....
How bright the light immortal,
It’s more than words can say,
And the undying evil,
How powerful are they,
But mortal is the suffering field,
Where neither God nor Devils yield,
And though the horns and
Bugles sound,
They stamp and run,
And fight so hard upon,
The broken ground.

I remember you telling me that you were in a very dark place emotionally when you wrote this, and man does it ever come through as dark! That in itself is a scarey thing, because it does convey that so well. But as we know life in general can be scarey at times. I find it just so cool when people are successful at capturing a mood and setting a virtual stage with their work. This one certainly does that. My mood instantly changes when I listen to that. A pleasure working with you my friend!
