Description
A favorite of mine by Harold Arlen, the first version of which I posted here about a year or so ago. Thanks for listening! Michael*
*PS: I apologize for maybe a bit too much reverb--I sang this in the men's room of Barnes & Noble downtown earlier today, third stall to the right. Also, at the very end of the first chorus, I do believe I knocked my face on my fly-swatter pop guard thing--you'll notice it.
"Down with Love" was written by Harold Arlen (1931, PD)
Arrangement & Accompaniment: Slam Bang & The Six Porkchops
Artwork: An historic photo taken by "WeeGee" which appeared in Time Magazine (November 1966). Many people were killed or injured in this violent confrontation. Someone also reported losing one of their flipflops and another guy said he just came "for the hot chocolate".

These songs had a great way of saying something depressing in light, bouncy music. You capture the lightness and, as usual, you deliver this expertly - clear diction, full of expression and with a smooth tone. I don't find the reverb level a problem. Much enjoyed, Michael!
