Description
Analog, 1971, Studio with a 4-track Teac and 2-Track Teac.

Our agent told us that we needed to do some more mainstream rock tunes, as most of what we did was either prog or hard rock. We wrote this and a couple other "Top 40" tunes (which will be posted shortly).

Our singer, Brad, would announce the "Here's a song we wrote, got an 86 on American Bandstand if anybody watches ". That always got cheers from the crowd and afterwards people would come up and tell us that they have our record and love us, etc. O..K...?!? And they accused US of doing drugs or drinking!

Lyrics
Sitting here a thinkin', How it used to be.
Good time in the Morning, I used to feel so free.

I remember the good times, You remember the bad.
Runnin' and a laughin' yeah...
All the fun we had.
All the fun we had.

Now you've got your new friends,
I see you runnin' around.
When you gonna face it, Girl...
It's only trouble you found,
It's only trouble you found,
It's only trouble you found.

Seems lately, I think of you each night. Empty feelings, I want you by my side.
When you see me coming, you turn the other way.
But you know there's something
I've just gotta say.....

Remember me to the springtime.
Call my name to the sun.
And in winter's darkness, yeah,
Remember things we've done,
Remember things we've done,
Remember things we've done,
Remember things we've done.

Remember me to the springtime.
Call my name to the sun.
And in winter's darkness, yeah,
Remember things we've done,
Remember things we've done,
Remember things we've done,
Remember things we've done.

Seems lately, I think of you each night.
Empty feelings, I want you by my side.
When you see me coming, you turn the other way.
But you know there's something
I've just gotta say.....

I would have loved to see you guys live! I long for the days when something like this was considered "mainstream."

Mainstream
I was at odds about what to classify this song... sometimes we would play it with a little bit of "Country" twang, other times just "Mainstream".... maybe I should call it "Top 40"... not prog, not hard rock.

In any case, Thanks for the listen and comments!

Gunn
Don't know if I have heard of them or not. They have any music on the internet that I can listen to?

Thank you again for your kind remarks. I still have more tunes from the way-back machine to post here.

Born in 71...
Hmm... you weren't born in Minnesota were you? You know, some wanna-be rock stars meeting new young ladies every night..... oops! Got carried away listening to your Flaunt it! I pulled out by old Hammond patches and played along.

Hope you got a chance to listen to some of the other tunes we have here. I still have several more to post including a Love Ballad, a Country Rock tune, an original "Oldie" (agent said we needed more rock & roll oldies) and another song that ended up on the B-Side of a 45 (vinyl.... ask your parents what those were) which was still getting airplay around the world on prog rock programs.

Reunion
Thanks for the listen. We have discussed some type of reunion but just haven't been able to make it happen yet. Most of us still play in bands, I am still writing and recording. We're a in Minnesota, Los Angeles & Phoenix. I was trying to at least get the guys to try doing some 2011 version of the old tunes but I think I would have better luck trying to collaborate with some people here on re-makes.
