Description
a desperate song for desperate times!!! don't fret this is bubblegum chew it up spit it out. dirges have their place especially as catharsis ;-) life is fun don't take it too seriously!

I was going to "improve" this scratch version but decided the flavor might get chewed out of it. here is the track warts and all as written and performed in one day last week. was thinking of only women bleed by alice cooper and this morphed out of that. lol.

bursts of insight can smack of sincerity to leave a bitter aftertaste. I have a feeling that will happen with this song so I'm moving on. come on spacerace challenge 2011!!

if you're not into littering save the wrapper and discard this in the nearest receptacle at will.

Lyrics
I remember back when time was easier to me
held the world in my hand handled all I'd see
never could imagine just how I'd turn to be
look myself in the glass I can't believe it's me

I've gone too far

now it's time to say goodbye to jed and all his kin
(just kidding -- real lyric is to all the time I tried)
held right on the best I could all the help I cried
set before the reason of the meaning left to be
fading from existence like the life I'd only bleed

I've gone too far you see

I'm in too deep

tired of trying hanging on I'm tired of being gone
tired of tryin holding out everything and everyone
all accounts are overdrawn my livelihood is gone
lost my home and family all that mattered once to me

I've gone too far I'm gone too far to see

I'm in too deep

I'm tired of being gone
Man, what a great line. We must be twin sons of different mothers Dimm: we've both written and posted songs that are dark and personal, but that are not necessarily about us (at least, I assume...); and we're both counting down the days until the SRC11. What are the odds? lol
This is very cool, warts and all. Hope you're suitably cathartized (?) and we'll see you next week at Launch Control ;-)

love jim and songs of despair -- in the appropriate context of course! mtv could have used more despair. miraculously we dodged that in the 80s!
