This is a song I'm working on for my next album. I've spent more hours than I can count working on it,but I think I'm to where I need to take a break and get some feedback.

There's a soulful character to the song. Expressive lyrics. The change is voice tone at 2:30 is welcome, as I would probably prefer the vocal to have more clarity in the mix than you give it, although I guess, given the subject matter, that may be intentional to create the "blacker than the night" mood that runs through the song. Synth backing holds the song together well. Powerful music.
