Note: 00:00 - 01:30 is an introduction, don't go away!
Scene setting: "Our hero is the sole survivor in his spacecraft where horrible events has taken place. After damage control and sending a distress signal, he enters the cryo chamber hoping someone will pick him up even if it will take thousands and thousands of years.
While the ship's AI is controlling his REM-sleep before entering final cryo hibernation, our hero dreams..."
Ok, I'm not much of a Sci-fi writer and the inspiration here is from the movie Alien. Anyways: this is my first entry for a challange. Not so original idea perhaps (noticed there was a similar entry by Reinholt last time around for example) but the concept of cryo sleep sort of fascinates me.

can we ever achieve escape velocity from "horrible events"? Or do we only have enough energy to barely orbit the wreckage, as the debris haunts our dreams for thousands of years?
This idea catches the interest of many people, probably because it is a human gift/curse... to be able to remember the past, and to escape from it.
Well done, love the soft and harsh interplays here, as you dance between dream and nightmare.
