Mr Right: This tune again? I hope you've made a few improvements.
Mr Left: Well I think so.
Mr Right: Spent some time on it, I hope.
Mr Left: Quite a lot, actually.
Mr Right: Good. So what have you changed?
Mr Left: Sped up the tempo to avoid the "loping along" feel. Added some organ sounds on the left, and slide guitar with an open D tuning on the right. Added a bass solo and an acoustic guitar solo (well plugged in, I'm afraid - still struggling to get a nice clean sound on the miked acoustic solos) and the whole thing is longer. Took a beat out of each bar of the drums to avoid the rickety-tickety sound and brought them all in closer to the centre of the mix. Didn't try to get clever with that hammering up and down the high E string that didn't really work in the last version.
Mr Right: Well that should improve things. And the sound effects?
Mr Left: Gone.
Mr Right: Well let's see what the MJers think of it.
