Peaceful Autumn Can't help thinking of this as the calm, soothing counterpart to the rather stressed out autumn song I am about to post any day now. With this title I thought maybe it was going to be solo piano (which would have been great too). But you've done a really nice mix out of this, the drums are laid back and cool, just enough of strings and a bit of rattle snake for that little extra interest. I hardly need to say that the piano is just beautiful?! Love the picture too, what is it with empty benches in the autumn..? henke well i'll have to give this stressed out autumn song a listen! it originally was going to be solo piano but once I got the piano recorded it just begged for some harmonies. i'm glad you like the percussion - i was a little iffy on whether or not to put it in. thanks for coming by for a listen. Hi Shay.... Hope everything is fine with you and yours.... This piece of music is beautiful. Extended version next....Pretty please..... The melody (and accompaniment) is ripe for all sorts of movement in all sorts of ways. I can already hear Theme #2. It's not wishful thinking is it?? Think of being sat on that form/bench, amongst the colours, sounds and smells of Autumn/Fall, where the logs to each side of the bench are guiding all the rhythms and melodies that your heart could wish for. The Autumn chill I can feel it in the notes. Beautiful themelet, like the first leaf to fall, hopefully this will grow. Personally, I'd leave out the drums, or add them later in the piece as it develops. Glad you created something again too! I was trying hard to listen your beautiful music without referencing the photo in my mind to see if I had a different interpretation, but to no avail. Your tone captures the last warmth of sunlight with hints of beauty and loss. The photo is right on. Sublime restraint in the orchestration. Like a sparkling fresh snowflake in the sun, the entrancing mood you have is all too soon gone but the sense of what you conveyed carries on as palpable memory. Your piano work is gorgeous as always. warm and nostalgic or introspective, not really mournful. Whatever, this simple piece has meaning, soul, something more than simple notes and sounds to me like the wonderful beginning of a new work.
