Wow!
Very emotional. I felt heartbreak and frustration and perhaps resignation. Sure, that could just be coming from me. Powerful. Thanks, Adam.

I'm not certain
That I intended any direction to this piece, but if you take away from it, then all the better.

I second the emotion
but I'm not surprised you sleep fitfully; have you heard some of the music you produce? And I've seen your artwork too.
Actually, I enjoyed the Nocturne: it IS emotional (I'm not sure about the stuff Char hears ;-) and hold together nicely. I mean, it stands on its own. I'd try to add something but I sure don't think I'd improve it.

Unusual
for me actually. Normally I sleep like a baby, so long lonely nights where sleep is fleeting is really quite uncomfortable for me.

OK
neither the reasoning nor the humor hit the mark. Sorry you didn't sleep well but it's still a lovely piece, however it came about.

Glad
You enjoyed it. I wouldn't mind hearing your interpretation of it. YOu are a far better pianist than I.

Duality
Darkness and light
play between the instruments
running from emotion to emotion
until sleep finally comes

insomnia
i love the naturalness of this, with the slight tempo and dynamic changes. the low strings add a gorgeous depth and darkness to the piece, supporting the evolving piano perfectly. i love the way you end it. beautiful, and definitely something i can imagine coming out of a restless night.
