Those Doggone Blues

Description
Another tune that that just developed over the week. I summoned up a bunch of dead blues guys like Blind Lemon Pie and Bald Sunny Guy and had a jam. I'm just trying to get a feel without getting too hung up on perfection. Everything has been approached like a jam except I'm jamming with my imaginary blues friends. I love my pets but some days they can really get under your feet and give you those doggone blues. The painting I did in acrylic on canvas.

No animals were harmed in the making of this tune!!

Doggone
Richly textured blues - the harp, organ, brass all add to the texture of the song . I especially like that popping, jumping solo that starts around 3:10 and takes the song out. I think you can now officially call yourself Blind Pineapple Stan! I hope you don't drive a Volvo, or are planning a trip to Memphis, cos you got the blues! :-)

I woke up this morning and was feeling just fine,
when my email said it was just about time,
to check out Stan's lastest, quality post, and,
to be sure, it was just the most.
How blue can your pets get!.

Pulsating!
Stan, awfully good riffs and that beat--I think if they ever do an updated version of the old "Peter Gunn" show on TV, this would be the theme (you probably are familiar with Mancini's theme song from that show). Great music and your mixes, they always sound like I'm right in the room and having a great time soaking in the sounds. Thanks once again for the fine work--and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! Michael

Smilin' blues
Great song art. Love the sound details in the backing, those cat howls and barks. Harmonic was a real highlight. And the vocals, they are totally fun. Nice sax tongue. A cacophony of hits and scratches, perfect for the title. Thanks for sharing this.
