Description
I arrange LOTS of hymns for two octave tonechimes (and have posted a few here.) This was one that sounded like it might be nice for a classical guitar duet, so I transposed it and added some guitarish attacks and other things like that. The instruments playing are the guitar sounds from garageband. I just thought I'd like to share a Thanksgiving arrangement here, since it seems that the commercial world slid directly from Halloween to Christmas, forgetting to pause in the middle:)

Lyrics
Come ye thankful people, come. Raise the song of harvest home.
All is safely gathered in, 'ere the winter storms begin.
God our maker doth provide, all our wants to be supplied.
Come to God's own temple, come. Raise the song of harvest home.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm best at small scale arrangements, so I'm glad this filled that spot in your evening.

A delightful arrangement
and a gentle balm to the consumerist soul. Thank you. Very pretty.

Thanks for listening
And also for your kind comments. 'Balm' - now there's a word that I like, but haven't heard in awhile.

I'm quite amazed
that you can get such a nice guitar sound out of GB. Do you play it like a piano or "how do you do?" ;-) Not familiar with the piece but I sure enjoyed the listen. Thanks.

Take care,
Henke

GB Guitars
They aren't bad. I save this from Finale, my notation program, as a midi file. Then I open a new garageband file, and drop it in. I set the instrument to classical acoustic guitar. Then I make my entrances a little offset, to sound like a fingerstyle guitar roll, and some other stuff to sound like a guitar. It is actually not a bad sound. Right now, I haven't practiced, so the GB guitars are better sounding than I would be.

Thankful people
Beautiful tune, with nice interplay between the two "guitars". Interesting way of producing the music - I wish I had the ability to write that way! A delight.
