Lyrics
Some things are better left unsaid Words and Music Franciscus Henri
(Orient Pacific Music)
I took your number out of the memory
Of my mobile phone today
Tore the page out of my diary
With your address on it and I threw it away
Threw my shoe at your picture
It broke the glass and the frame
And then it fell off the wall
I tried to throw away something you gave
But you never gave me anything at all
Some things are better left unsaid,
Some things are better put to bed
Some things are better left behind
Some things are better left unsaid,
Some things are better put to bed
Some things are better left behind
I got your e-mail from the Caribbean
To say you were on holidays in Spain
You said you met some one who reminds you a lot of me
I don’t want to hear that old story again
A man took pictures of you on the beach
Without your bathing suit on
You went back to his hotel to buy the negatives
But they said he’d gone
CHORUS
I was standing in the middle of Vancouver when a man with a French accent
Asked to use my telephone
He dialled a twenty-digit number to Moscow
Said that he was calling home
He said he was a prophet
Said he could read the writing on the wall
I cross the street against a red to have a look
There was nothing written there at all

A fun upbeat piece of music that hides an undercurrent of darker lyric... but that re-enforces your idea of "leaving it behind" and moving on. Nice. At first, the rapid-delivery of lyrics was unusual, but I think it works OK. Very good song-writing, playing and singing and mixing.
