Genre Defined
Very nice entry to the genre. Excellent dissonant intro. Love the build at 1:30. Each section of this song fits to the whole and yet is so cool on its own. Yeah those washy walls of haunting guitar are amazing. Really nice lyrics and well sung. Kind of wished for a bigger finish before the outro but still a great listen. Downloaded!

	Genre I didn't know the genre existed until michael2 posted a song under it some time ago. This was too slow for psychedelic I guess. The ending... yeah, it crossed my mind to follow the inertia like @1:30, but then I felt that was a little bit too repetitive. Psychedelic 60's
I didn't think of this song as a homage to the late 60's until you mentioned the idea in the forums; but an influence is, in some way, a homage.
I was immersed in the music and the story of Skip Spence during the last summer and it made a huge impact in the way I feel about music right now. I thought a lot about his music while working on this one.
So, this could be considered a homage to him and those wild times.

Dreamy
This song has such a dreamy quality to it: relaxed from verse to verse with some very interesting instrumental interpolations along the way, each time causing a little surprise and extending the dream. I very much like the simplicity of the message in the text, too, and the minimalist vocal approach, both in the singing and in the very limited range of notes used. What bothers me somewhat is the pitch of the vocal throughout the number: you have such a loose approach to your singing that it often suffers from being below the pitch. It's probably the effect you wanted, but to my ears it just begs for a bit more clarity. ...

Lyrical poetry
I totally dig your lyrics. Just the right balance of metaphor, irony, visual paint, sense of searching and angst. Not sure of the music brings out everything I read in them. I do like the one climactic moment. The overall weight of exhaustion and lack of diction feeds a single concept, but I dig the lyrics so much, I feel like their washed underneath it all. Not sure, but this is my initial impression. Consider a different setting for the text, as an experiment?

Thanks for your thoughtful comment. This one started from the music, so thinking about a different setting for the words is a little bit challenging to me right now. I guess I need to take some distance. I had a lot of doubts about this one and needed some kind of reassurance (and contributions) from friends (macjammers and not) to give me permission to move forward and post it.
A song is never finished though. I'll keep your kind words in mind.

There's a scientific theory about that: it seems it's just a change in the state of matter: same thing as water and ice. The change between states seem to deny the laws of conservation of energy though. Well, it's just a theory...

Everything I Have
I am completely moved by this powerful work.

First off, I have to say I loved the lyrics before I hit "play". Fantastic poetry. I was immediately wowed by the simple dark and moody guitar pluckery that proceeded your vocals. It just gets better with every second. There's nothing I could suggest that you change on this perfect tune. Great stuff.

It doesn't sound like anything I've heard before, but it is somehow reminiscent of Mazzy Star, the Church, Leonard Cohen and Cold Play all on the same stage!!

Seriously, this is a beautiful and original song. One of the best tunes I've heard in a long time.
