Description
Here is finally the 1st movement of my second symphony. It took me a whole year to orchestrate and record all the 4 movements and it's an incredible difficult task to get such large ensemble balanced, but I hope I did it a good job. Finished just in time for the Christmas crazy time at my job. I will have no more music time till January next year.

I do think...
you have succeeded. This first movement sounds clear and without anything to detract. Andreas, this is wonderful composing... an the performance is as if a great orchestra was being conducted by you. Bravo!

Bravo!
I enjoyed this a lot, had a smile on my face at 1:22 and 3:30. Obviously an enormous effort went into this and to me it paid off. Nice work.

Yes,
It took indeed many hours of putting this piece together, and the moments you mean, the 2nd theme, is very complex. Many voices at the same time talking, but I am very happy with the results. I think I will wait some years before starting a new symphony! Next year I want to examine smaller forms, or maybe... no idea, really... something will come up that catches my interest.

Quality Andreas
Lovely movement and texture. The main theme reminds me a little of something from Brahm's 1st but you give it a thoroughly contemporary treatment. My only nit would be that seemed to end a little abruptly.

How I'd love to hear this with a full orchestra!

Cheers

Dick

Part One
I'm not well versed in classical, but this sounds so good and complete. Complex indeed, I wouldn't know where to start. I like the pacing and the rise and fall of energy. In regards to the overall mix, The panning and placement of all the instruments sounds very nice. The brass seems a bit harsh in the mix at times. I also wish there was a bit more depth, maybe with a touch more reverb or something to give this piece a bigger orchestrated sound, but maybe that was not your intent. Anyway, very nice.
