i have been working off and on with a bunch of little songs that are meant to be a soundtrack. sometimes I work to pictures, or videos or memories. most of them are around a minute or 2 long and some of them feature Particle Dots vocal choir recording he sent me. this one is mostly a cheap push button organ, a piano, a celeste and a recording of some clicking that I had (can't remember what it was though).
many of the songs have a shared motif, but different feels. they're all on the melancholy side and I can never redo the mixes as they were done in such a sloppy way. I pillaged sounds from other logic files, did a quick mix, and would then add sounds to the original file or mistakenly delete some. total amateur mistakes. I also did everything without a click, so the tempo's aren't perfect, and on the tracks with delays, I had to turn off tempo synching and try to set it by ear.
slammed in the real world now, so figured maybe I'd start posting these pieces. I have been calling them Enovox for reasons I can't remember, but will eventually need to come up with a better title when I get them all done. this is something I would listen to in the day to day; picture Sigur Ros, Mum and Jon Brion getting together to put together a soundtrack for a slightly sad indie film that's set in the winter (probably in a coastal region).
