Description

Thinking of christmas and all the people that are hurting financially, I thought of this idea to take the money issues many people have and relate it to a christmas song; promoting a positive message that it doesn't really matter what you can buy for the kids, the holiday is all about family and togetherness. Health and family makes a rich man.

Country Dollar Store Christmas
Really nice song Charles and a wonderful message! The sparse acoustic arrangement is really nice. It leaves lots of room for your vocals to shine. I shop at the dollar store regularly. That's where I stock up on "prizes" for my students. It amazes me the smile a puzzle from the dollar store can bring!

Christmas
Driving country style rhythm works well. Vocal (including the harmonies) is strong your voice has a great tone. I like the lines of the guitar solo, although I thought it came in stronger than it then went on to be (maybe just the headphones I'm using?) I like the fact that you have something thought-provoking to say. Much enjoyed.

yup. Those opening guitars...
...are great. The whole number, actually, is well-produced and just keeps thumping along in sort of a 70's-style of folk music. The message is the most important thing about a song like this, but the delivery has to be solid, too, and you achieve that nicely. Your choice of topic is an important one. Glad you went there!
