Description

Two short holiday songs offered for your further detriment and insolence! First is my annual version of "Jingle Bells" re-re-remixed and mastered (whatever that means) and something called "Mistletoe & Holly".

Thanks again and hope you're all staying warm this week (11 degrees here right now--I know if I went out there my blood would immediately turn into cranberry sherbet in less than 30 seconds flat, ugh!)

You should be in Vegas. Man I am blown by the vibrancy of your voice and your production techniques are most impressive. That transition from one song to another was great. I hope you mean the lyrics in the first song! Actually, those lyrics came from a kid in the fourth grade who taught me them. I can't recall his name now, but he had a big ol' peanut shaped head with a dent on top. Every time he came in from the rain, he had a puddle of water on his head (true!) Oh, amazingly enough, I do think it's still okay to say "Merry Christmas", although in this day and age where everything is so super serious, gray and glum, you have to be careful to whom you are wishing it upon (I mean, somebody could pop a cap in your ass if you're not more discrete upon whom you wish it on!) Well that was
a bonus ...a twofer...Jingle Bells dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century from where it was quite happy gliding along in the 19th ! And then a sincerely festive little ditty in the style of the crooners Messrs Crosby,Cole and Como.....although that has the ring of a yuletide mafioso hit squad as well !

Great stuff and i think that the Jarvoid hosehold festivities might have just started
now !

Ol' Fruitcake Breath,
How does one say that you are funny and generous and talented up the wazoo without repeating oneself? I never heard the first set of lyrics before. And I seldom have heard the second song. You are always sharing your breadth of knowledge and your joy. You are a crooner and an entertainer of the first order. If you could dance as well, you'd be a better looking Fred Astaire. Oh yes, I've had them in my head since the 4th grade (it must have been popular as a "grass roots" kind of lyric as I see variations of it on some internet sites as well now!) Yanno, believe or not, my partner's mother in Florida makes the ALL-TIME best fruitcake. Every year, she sends us two (combined weigh: 85 pounds) from Florida and they are really good!
