Description

This is a Polish Christmas Carol. Consider yourselves blessed that I didn't sing all the verses. I was really only familiar with these three and some of these words were tongue twisters, as it is. The English is not a direct translation but tweaked in order to rhyme.
Richard 13, my great friend, made the background music. He told me that the main melody was borrowed by Frederic Chopin from the folk hymn and not the other way around. We hope you like it.

Great job Char; I can't imagine wrapping my tongue around some of those consonant combinations, but you did it like a born speaker/singer of Polish ;-)
Just to set the record straight, I simply arranged/changed some of the midi files I found: I didn't create any music. Unfortunately I could not find out who actually played the notes. That said, I am very pleased to have been able to help you share some of your heritage with other Polish MacJammers.

Hah!
There was one word where I kept singing a k instead of a t so what followed was some rather unholy lyrics. Then, when I finally got it, I really stressed it. (KwiaTeczku) I spoke Polish, simultaneously with English because my Mother's parents rarely spoke English. As the years progressed and I moved away from Buffalo, there was less and less need to speak Polish. It comes back a bit when I hear it, though. My hope for you is that you get everything you'd like and enjoy health and happiness. Thank you, maestro. :)

Touches me
My father's mother is Polish.. so this song brings tears to my being. I never met her but felt her love through my father's nurturing and friendship. I came to LA from Chicago which has the largest Polish population in the US. So much feeling emerges that i will now try to find my roots from my polish blood. Thank you for the inspiration.
