A whirling dervish
of energy, kind of like the sultan. This must have been an incredible amount of work one note at a time. Look forward to the other four (are they meant to be heard together?). Nice job.

Very cool tune Dave
There is considerable competition for what could be considered your best song. Not sure that I would call this your best, but it is certainly up there. This started off sounding kind of dark but when it went into the arpeggios the second time, it actually had a totally different almost funny vibe. Interesting. Great work man. You are one talented cat.

Excellent piece Dave! I love all the drama you infused in the arrangement. The ethnic percussion is particularly impressive.

an ambitious piece of music! You transported me into a world of opulent palaces and colorful people involved in high drama. Love it. Thanks.

World fusion
Have you ever listened to the soundtrack to Riverdance? Some stuff like what you are trying to do here, with lush arrangements, fabulous time signature shifts, super tight playing, transcendent harmonies. They work in middle eastern sounds too. You should check out some of those tracks.

Is this a personal journey project or something for a specific purpose?

Awesome stuff Dave! It was certainly worth the effort and if it was anywhere near as complex as it sounds then I don't envy you. Sounds like you were relieved to get this one out there! Brilliant stuff and I particularly liked the strings. Really enjoyed this.
