Anna Wants Peace

i recorded the music to this last friday afternoon. of course i got stuck for any idea on lyrics for a while. i was flipping through a old lyric notebook and came across a old song i did many macjam years ago of a song i had posted and deleted called anna jarvis. anna was the one who brought about mothers day in honor of her dead mother. anyway her story is quite interesting. she spent years promoting mothers day and once it became commercialized she turned around and protested it. anna and her sister had spent their inheritance fighting against what it had become. she had been arrest and spent her waning years in poverty and eventually in a mental institute. i rewrote the idea but made it more on the idea rather then a true account here. obviously things haven't changed in over a hundred years. go figure

after a while the word was getting around
everyone recognized a special day
