Committment At the tender age of 18 through the movement known in history as the 'Black Power Culture' I was hired as the first Black 'Cinema Journalist Trainee in the star of Michigan. I joined a culture that I had never been exposed to and because of my seeking mind. I learned and adapted to it quickly. My training was extensive and intense. So much so that I quickly changed the landscape of Television News as it related to the portrayal of minorities and their portrayal in the media of influence. I learned the art of reporting from one of the masters of the game. My curiosity and intent was to objectively present the stories I was responsible for in the sense of fairness and lacking in editorializing. This I feel was the sacrifice of another who did what he loved and lived what he was. We all have A mission and I'm sure he fulfilled his. Wonderful dedication to mission!
