Description
I joined Laurie (lholden) and Freddy (Loob) who have been working together for quite some time. We're enjoying very much working together on different projects and I'd like to say that in addition to their talents, both Laurie and Freddy are absolutely fantastic people and great friends, so this makes everything great fun and great experience.
So we're going to keep on working together and this song is one of the first which we worked all three together. There are several more ongoing projects and there will be many more !
So, I approached Laurie quite a while ago, proposing her to work on a piece of music I had been working on. She kindly accepted and came up with lyrics we would include to the song. Torch Lake Laurie refers to is located in Michigan and the song is about the good feelings different places raise in us, which we associate to our memories.
While we were progressing, I also got more involved in different project ideas with Freddy. Seeing that they both worked together regularly, we decided to
work on "Pull Of Torch" 3 of us. Freddy brought his rich experience into the project and took it to another level.
I hope you enjoy.

Lyrics
PULL OF TORCH
Verse
When night has fallen
Sinking torch, burning bright
The pull of day is through
Promises of tomorrow
Calling to, you… you
Calming fingers
Lap on the shore
Breezes drifting
Drifting, calling
More… more
Chorus
Take the bait
Please trust my plan
Thoughts astray
Oh, hold my hand
Memories, visions
Of days gone by
Weaving tapestries
Fly…fly
Verse
Blueberries, cherries and corn
To calm your fears
Corral your dreams, tomorrow
All your dreams
For years, years
Family and history
Build who we are
Circling round us, all around us
Far, far
Verse
When night has fallen
Sinking torch, burning bright
The pull of day is through
Promises of tomorrow
Calling to, you… you
Calming fingers
Lap on the shore
Breezes drifting
Drifting, calling
More… more
Chorus
Take the bait
Please trust my plan
Thoughts astray
Oh, hold my hand
Memories, visions
Of days gone by
Weaving tapestries
Fly…fly
Verse
Blueberries, cherries and corn
To calm your fears
Corral your dreams, tomorrow
All your dreams
For years, years
Family and history
Build who we are
Circling round us, all around us
Far, far

to this.
A rather majestic arrangement which is done full justice by the performances.
And even a shift up at the end.
Clever work.
Cheers
