I'm always in a rush to hustle these out. No doubt I'll tweak this a lot more, but this is close enough to done to set free. I see you've been working with Sisters. Lucky you! Check out my latest song called To the Dump

Well done Yeah a groove of your own my man. Great presentation. Bass lick real cool. Guitar sings chorus and you sing it nicely. Musical composition nice my friend. Like the street noise and VO. TvRicky Check out my latest song called 'Our Blood Flows From The Drums'

Glad you liked it There are still some wonky bits, but what the heck. The voiceover was an accidental recording as I made up the stupid lyrics. It ended up on one of the incarnations, and I decided to keep it. No idea why. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

Cheers One of the many titles I considered was "Relentless". I kept the "-less" bit, and added lots of adjectives. I'm happy you enjoyed it. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

There are some drums but it's mostly fingers snapping, plecs tapping and handclapping. It leaves space for all the other stuff that's going on. Thanks for listening. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

Mutant Man in Aspic After commenting on your previous two posts it occurred to me what your use of tapping techniques reminds me off. There is a very cool similarity to Tony Levin's work on Chapman Stick and his use of drumsticks on electric bass. Creates a very cool blend of melodic and percussive elements. The range of articulations is amazing. I also love the heavily distorted guitars here. They add some great dynamics. Great chorus! Great vocals too! Levin - tastic Garsh, I'm blushing. I'd love a go on a Stick, but they're horribly expensive and there are no cheap alternatives. I keep shilling for Matt of Guitar Lessons fame, but it's thanks to his on line tuition that I discovered I could make 80's Crim noises that were previously denied me by my own technical limitations. Thank you for your kind remarks. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

Glad you dug it My real bass won't make that nice slapping sound, so I had to use the GB one. Pretty well everything else is natural percussion and instruments, I'm pleased to say. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

Process is interesting. Post the skeletal version, then a week later here comes the next version with an extra month of work layered in. I don't get it. Does posting it help to give you new ideas? Very refreshing piece of music. As always, I love your guitar work, and the addition of vocals completes it. I must attempt to copy you. But I plan on violating your Rules 1 & 2. If I didn't, I would never post anything. Check out my latest song called SugarBubbleWater

Dervishville My wife told her sister that she rarely sees me on the weekend. Garageband is largely to blame. Also my brain dwells on whatever the latest tune is and won't let me rest until I've done something with it. There was a whole section buzzing round in my head this morning. It's gone now, but I expect it'll be back to haunt me. Anyway, that is why I was able to post the updated version so quickly. If I could I'd be doing this 24/7, like Steve Wilson. Re your last comment: chortle chortle. Keep on not sucking, Mr K. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

Mutant I dig the syncopated feel throughout, lots of great sound elements. Mix is very well done, lots of spread and depth. Is that a fretless I hear?...nice. Check out my latest song called The Game

Progressive Accoustic is sensational. The music bed has a Yes/Gentle Giant mood to it. Vocals are spot on with a nice complimentary melody. Thuroughly enjoyed. Thanks for Sharing. Check out my latest song called I Want Emoticon

No "sucking" zone No worries about this "sucking", Graham. It is highly enjoyable. Title sounds like a Dr Who episode :-) Wonderfully original piece with subtle shades of Floyd just bobbing round the edges. This is a fine post. Thanks. Regards, Peter. Check out my latest song called Autumn Falling

Look out! There are Zarbi! I've been watching Dr Who since it started in the 60's, so there's another influence that's surfacing. I eagerly await the first "Hey, that sounds like George Formby" comment. Unlikely, I know, but it's not impossible. Thanks for listening and commenting. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

Groovy It's just another excuse to twiddle away on the Ovation like Fripp and Belew did in the 80's. Only they got over it! Middle age is all about doing things you wanted to do when you were 16. My next task: become Jack Kirby. Glad you enjoyed it, Mr 18. Check out my latest song called To the Dump

Inscrutable mutations I totally dig the groove on this song. It has this cool Gitbox, acoustic King Crimson, Crosby/Nash texturing. 21 Century Mutant Man. Really nice sound. The humor aspect, and the lo-fi feel like it was all recorded on a cassette tape deck (accentuated by the end), adds to the quirky nature. An inscrutable track, cool, entertaining, difficult to peg. Very nice. Thanks for sharing this. Check out my latest song called Frozen Man (by James Taylor)

No Larks were harmed during the recording! I'm glad such a seasoned MacJammer like yourself enjoyed this. Five years ago when I first joined I had no real aims, musically. Now, I have a much clearer vision of what I want to do, and it's Crim - style rock with some humour thrown in. I also want a proper drum kit, but will content myself with what I have for the time being. Thanks for your interest. Check out my latest song called To the Dump
