Description

I've been messing around playing guitar from time to time... I came up with some progressions and thought maybe I should lay down some tracks since I haven't posted in a while on macjams. I found the beginnings of some lyrics I had jotted on my iPhone and manipulated them to where they would fit. I don't know who I was writing about.

Please forgive me for not being very active here on MJ and I apologize to you for using you as a venue to post my music too.

I have several sims available but I always prefer to use the pedal board and amp sim in Logic Pro, usually the boutique/pawn/British rigs. I like the rythm to break up just a bit and then something more modern with a fat tone on the leads. If you have logic I would be more than happy to send you the settings. This really flows. Nice thick guitar sounds work well with your smooth understated vocal delivery. Good work with the drum programming. Really like the jump on the cymbal hits after around 1:40 and elsewhere. Don't hear that too often at MJ. And those lyrics are some serious business. No apologies are necessary when you can post good music like this.

	Les The drums are usually hit and miss. I usually break up drum tracks and piece them together so really I can't take too much credit. I use EZ Drummer kits and bus the channel to a logic preset group and usually bus the bass with the drums. Thanks for the review, I really like what you did with brother Harold's latest tune. 	Vic It always adds a nice touch when you layer guitar tracks. A lot of times I attempt to do one guitar track, the way it would be done in a three or four piece band. Guitar's the treat, John...
You managed, I think, to hit that good spot where it sounds tight but also loose, and I like how the guitar parts play against the drums...The rhythm bits and lead bits sort of cross over into each other's territory in a nice way...It has a kind of spiraling up while spiraling down quality to it..

If there's a part that I could toss out as my nitpick, it would be that I'd like to hear that vocal get a touch more of that same looseness, and maybe a hint of air in the mix, so it stands out in the very powerful instrumental track a little more...
