Description
A song inspired by bad roads, icy windshields, and hot coffee. I wrote this, sang, and played guitar. My brother contributed the bass line, and a drummer friend contributed the skins.

Lyrics
It’s just another Michigan winter
Starts in November, ends in May
The frost on the windshield
The frost on the grass
The blue sky gives way
As the earth turns to gray
Baby, I’m sleepwalkin’
Don’t mind me, that’s just the coffee talkin’
Scrape the ice off my eyes,
Start it up and then drive
We’ll be warm
By the time we arrive
Just in time
To go back outside
The slush in the potholes
The salt on my shoes
I break and the snow slides
The freezing road construction crews
Baby, I just keep driving
Slip on until we arrive and I
Scrape the sleep from my eyes
Pour a third cup of java jive
Keeps me goin’
Until my break time
Do it all
Do it all again at 5
Starts in November, ends in May
The frost on the windshield
The frost on the grass
The blue sky gives way
As the earth turns to gray
Baby, I’m sleepwalkin’
Don’t mind me, that’s just the coffee talkin’
Scrape the ice off my eyes,
Start it up and then drive
We’ll be warm
By the time we arrive
Just in time
To go back outside
The slush in the potholes
The salt on my shoes
I break and the snow slides
The freezing road construction crews
Baby, I just keep driving
Slip on until we arrive and I
Scrape the sleep from my eyes
Pour a third cup of java jive
Keeps me goin’
Until my break time
Do it all
Do it all again at 5

Brrrrrrrr! That's why I live in Florida! Very nice song. Love the jazzy Van Morrison swing! Sweet clear guitar sound. Great vocal! Love the throaty bass tone and smooth work on the drums.
