Description
This song started with the drum beat, then a chord pattern, then the line “Walking down the avenue” popped into my head. This led to thoughts about who might be doing that. The rest came from wherever ideas come from.
I would like to thank a few MJers for their input into this – even though they won’t realise they had any input :-) Reading comments on various songs led me to think about a few things. They were:
• thoddi - suggested I have a look at betamonkeymusic.com for some drum sounds. This track uses one available for free download from that site.
• Saltaireguru77 – asked about the slide guitar on one of my tracks, which got me thinking about pushing my use of that a little, from using it just to colour a piece, to trying a lead break.
• CrazeeFlootGrrl – mentioned that she used chorus and flanger effects (amongst others) on her vocals, so I tried that on the doot-do harmonies on this track.
• And to PeterB7858 for Ozoning the final version!
So thanks to those people and to all the others who comment on my songs - they do make me think!
