Description

This is a song I 'rescued' from my old reel to reel Grundig tape recorder. It was recorded waaaaaaaaay waaay back in the early 1960's when i was in my early 20's and when the word 'Baby' was pronounced 'Boibuy' or 'Buybee' depending on which artist was popular at the time. I think I only heard this song a couple of times, hence the lyrics are not quite right and I've never heard it since, I do remember thinking what a strange song it was, because these songs were very unusual and original to us at that time, but I hope you like this rendition as I played and sang in one, through my little 12 volt amp and recorded on the tape recorder.

They did record it one of the first, but I think it was either Buddy Holly or Adam Faith that I heard since I sang the 'Boibuy' thing LOL. The Mickey & Sylvia version is great but sounds as though the backing is played on one of those musical hurdy-gurdy toys kids play with. 	Love is Strange OMG, it sounds just like you do now! This has a very Buddy Holly vibe to it, but I'm sure others have said that. This was recorded probably just a few years after I was born, how cool is that? You vibrato is stellar and I think the chord progression is very tasty. Love the E string "pulls". Nice! Also I was never what you'd term as a 'guitarist', my playing was very simple, but now I hear that it was quite adequate for what I was doing at the time..... and it was only for my own listening at that time, regards M
