This is another collab that I did with Elaine aka RubyDubidoux.
It wasn't an easy one to record and mix, but for now this one will do
I think the bridge at two thirds of the song worked out well.

why is it that
cool, hot skater chicks abound in cartoons and the Disney Channel but are like unicorns in real life?

I like this. The verse reminds me a bit of Joe Jackson. Maybe it's the piano. But then the chorus is awkward in a stylistic way, like waits. I like the boy/girl approach too. Not alot of that on MJ. I like the lead, too.

Great tune...
By you both, I think it worked out pretty good, different timbers sound
wise but the difference that mattered was, comfort that stood out.....
And it works, her placement in your world of sound came together sounds
like you could do it some more, start bouncing off each other feeling your
way around till you get somewhere you like.....

Nice collab
I dig how folks find each other for these cool collaborations. I liked the song art you picked! Funny how the You and Me vs You and I thing works, changing with the rhyming need. I was thinking, as the track played, that the electric guitar sounds really good and should maybe be louder, played more often. And a bass would help. A sweet tune. I liked the piano chording when it used 7ths and 4ths, consider using even more chord substitutions, voicing and register shifts, to give the different sections more variety, and more standard jazz chords, there is a classic aspect to the writing that those sorts of chords would accentuate, perhaps. Thanks for sharing this.
