Description
I guess the best way I would describe this song is how people can seem to find themselves facing temptation - and making mistakes, and knowing that no one's perfect. Lots of human faults there. Plus, I liked using the capo and chord progression. In other words, it's far from Tolstoy and I hope you enjoy it. I have to thank Sig for the remix - very nice work!. And finally, thanks to Chris Flynn for pushing me to post it.

Lyrics
I met her in the back room, I was
Looking for the phone booth
I said that’s not the whole truth
I just had to know her name
And she said
I can’t believe you used that line
I hear it all the time
But something in your eyes that says you’re okay
Darling I would walk a thousand miles
Across cut glass just to see you smile
Someday I’ll know why I’m running to you
Said let’s get out of here
My place is very near
Just one more beer before we steal away
And she said
If you want to be mine
You gotta love me full time and one more thing
Put that wedding ring away
Darling I would walk a thousand miles
Across cut glass just to see you smile
Someday I’ll know why I’m running to you
I’ve been running away all my life
And there’s no sign of slowing down
Maybe you and I
Can turn it all around
Met her in the back room, I was
Looking for the phone booth, well
That’s not the whole truth
I just had to know her name
And she said
We might not get too far
But I’ll love you for who you are
There’s something in your eyes that says you’re okay
Darling I would walk a thousand miles
Across cut glass just to see you smile
Now I know, I know why
Now I know, I know why
Now I know why I’m running to you
I’m running to you
I’m still running
Looking for the phone booth
I said that’s not the whole truth
I just had to know her name
And she said
I can’t believe you used that line
I hear it all the time
But something in your eyes that says you’re okay
Darling I would walk a thousand miles
Across cut glass just to see you smile
Someday I’ll know why I’m running to you
Said let’s get out of here
My place is very near
Just one more beer before we steal away
And she said
If you want to be mine
You gotta love me full time and one more thing
Put that wedding ring away
Darling I would walk a thousand miles
Across cut glass just to see you smile
Someday I’ll know why I’m running to you
I’ve been running away all my life
And there’s no sign of slowing down
Maybe you and I
Can turn it all around
Met her in the back room, I was
Looking for the phone booth, well

Darling I would walk a thousand miles
Across cut glass just to see you smile
Now I know, I know why
Now I know, I know why
Now I know why I’m running to you
I’m running to you
I’m still running

Sure it ain't Tolstoy but it's good. Great groove, cool changes and your singing is superb--soulful and warm. Love the B-3 and mando. Excellent post!
