Some times it hits me that I live alone, I’d like to have someone as close as the phone.
Life don’t come with training wheels, blood in a bucket you know how that feels?
Newton only managed to define his space, the speed of light happens, it’s all out of place.

You can’t stop the stories being told,
Best to slow them ’fore they take ahold

They shut down the farm, thrown out of jail; no cause for alarm, the money will fail.
Jigs & reels in three-quarter time, shells & peels well that ain’t no crime.
Her Majesty comes in with a twirl, she’s drunk on the giggles — a natural girl.
Travel the pattern, a ferret or two, equality yes, but just for a few.
Fog was her name, a pitiful shame. Shattered the magic, he’s out of the game.
The fiddler, the pirates, they all come along, wiping from memory a bad country song
A country song . . .
. . . can’t stop the stories being told
The cards ain’t right, this hand’s about to fold.

(excerpt from The Tragedy of MacBeth, Act 5, Scene 1, Wm. Shakespeare, to In the Hall of the Mountain King, Edvard Grieg, Peer Gynt, Act 2, Scene 6)

I want a girl who plays guitars, play with her until she sees the stars
The two smartest rednecks around were playin’ cards when it all went down

I used to be good at daydreams, I used to be good at duckin’
I used to be good at other worlds, used to know the one I’m stuck in

Time to control what you think when you’re not thinkin’

Very creative lyric with diverse influences. I get a Grateful Dead vibe from this.

Yeah, a lotta Dead (much of it unconsciously). Bit of Hot Tuna, some Perth County Conspiracy, Quicksilver, ... Airplane, Doors maybe. I've been listening to a lot of that era lately.

Really like this one
I really like this one, but then I say that about all of them. I love how loud and clear the vocal is (my favorite thing). The mix is great, keep them coming. hugs

... aging literary wordsmith story-teller/folk-rocker finds happiness... a good(!) band to back his own unique rap. Dug the Shakespeare, too. Were you feeling in a Postludes Trio state-of-mind?
