Description
John Coltrane composition and tribute. I dont share Coltrane's faith yet I feel there is some kind of connection between meditating/praying and creating art. Some of the all time greats like Bach or Coltrane knew how to get that idea across in a very compelling way. This song was also a good vehicle for blasting away on different instruments.

Striking opening. Beautiful tone in the sax. The guitar cuts. Bass taking the front at 4:15 works well. it has a "live jam" feel to it as the instruments go all sorts of places. Later guitar solo has a tasty wail to it. Like the way you bring it back at 7:00 - it was starting to stretch my ears a bit too far :-) Spooky ending! Much enjoyed.

Excellence...
"Compelling" is just the word to generally describe this piece; this is straight to the quick, bold, yet lyrical in design. I give ya full marks for this one--loved this! Michael

Opening most definitely too cool. You my man have brilliantly payed a tribute to a musical phoenix and magician who quite frankly never 'Blasted Away' on his most prized possessions his instruments. Although he did 'pawn a few'...smile. Wonderful Production my friend and your musicianship is quite exceptional. I am dazed and amazed by your musical mind and playing ability!!

Amazing composition!
This is not for everyone (including me, most of the time) but there are many interesting things happening here that make it a worth while listen. Quite an exceptional tribute. And the artwork is stunning.

Tones
love the pace of this, underground lounge vibes. Everything sounds so clear, your production skills always make these songs sound so polished. Some real wildness in this too, most welcomed here!
