Nicely sat down and seen what can be done, Mango's mum.It came out fine and dandy, sounds like it would not be out of place on the end credits of a deeply meaningful and moving...er...movie...if you get my drift, sort of thing. Piano is the one instrument that is an orchestra in itself and you have orchestrated a tremulous and moody little piece that whist delicate and pretty has issues, there's a back story of atmosphere and tempestuous mood...almost a sulkiness, or possibly a melancholic undercurrent. Great stuff,Cheers. Jarvoid Check out my latest song called Cripple Creek Revised........By Jarvoid and the Banjo Bedraggled Manic Mandolin Accordion Squeezers

Wonderful improvisation. Reminds me of Michael Andrew's Donnie Darko soundtrack (Liquid Spear Waltz?). The sound of your piano is perfect - fragile with soft strength, unassuming and intimate. How did you record it or which midi instrument are you using if I may ask? I like the emotional distance in the chords - it moves between the raindrops and leaves the mood fairly open, although I tend to imagine a film scene close to the photo you picked - a rainy afternoon, with the wind gently playing with dead leaves. I hate it when movies end like that! But I really enjoyed this track:) Check out my latest song called Tosh Frenzy

Well, there you go... As a compositional aid, sitting down and playing something has to be one of the best methods... This has a wonderful sense of mood, Shay, and it's nicely sustained. No false notes or wanders. Peaceful but melancholy, to my ears at least. Suits the photo, too. And a very human feel to the playing, nicely paced.
