Blindsided by monotonous routine lately? Wondering if it's ever going to change?
I approached this song thinking that repetition and very slight alteration from verse to verse might portray that feeling of doing the same thing every day, over and over and over again. It's kinda dark and depressing, but in the end, the hero dies! Lol!!
In an effort to combat the fatigue of daily routine, I've made a list of the things I'd like to do the most, like draw, paint, play with LEGOs, teach a class on something, write more songs about monotony, take the family on a picnic, star in a hit series on HBO and become rich and famous, learn to tie knots, move next door to my mother.... What?
No one really reads this stuff, so I'm just entertaining myself with funny thoughts as if there was a laughing audience.
I have another song I'll post next week. It's a bit more cheerful!
