Description
Retro? A throw-back tune for the oldies and maybe, the newbies. Two and a half, almost, years ago Vic Holman sent me a music track (sans his slide guitar) and said, This sounds like something down your alley..... or some such words. I listened and emailed him back that I was on it and would follow through... Well, here I am, almost two and a half years later - finally, thankfully.
In the interim between 2009 and now, Vic had lost the band file for his original music demo (haven't we all done that?). So, this post is that original demo with his recently added slide guitar and my vocals.
So many of Vic's songs evoke the guitar of George Harrison. Well, in this tune, I do think, that applies. When I received the music file from Vic, I sang to myself... what will be, and titled it such, as the working demo. All Things Must Pass came to mind. So here we are (in MacJam years), a short time later. Vic, has graciously given me the go-ahead to post this on my song page.
A special note... this is the first song post, in over a year and a half, that I have been engaged, musically, in something new from my end. Wow... thanks, Vic.
We hope you enjoy a shade of our inspiration.

Lyrics
Time will tell and tell us well
Light and darkness is the key
Life or death, heaven-hell
What will be, what will be
Everything tries to take you down
Grab your head, spin you all around.
What will be...........
Friend or foe, now who can say
You’re doing well and they’ll agree
Fall out of line and make their day
What will be, oh, what will be
What was up, well, now is down
Inside out, in your ghost town
What will be.....
Tell me now, what should I do?
Won't you show me the way?
The ground I'm on is sinking sand
And there's no more notes to play...
Listen now as wisdom calls
Taste the fruit to know the tree
What seems large is only small, and
What will be, oh. what will be...
Take these words as your command
A light to shine, to understand
What will be....................

Cool and time honored groove. Beatle melody shines here my friends. Sweet playing by all. Vox are supremely tasty and fluidly natural. Guitar slings and the drums fit exquisitely. Means to me the mixmaster here is a meticulous soul. Love the performance all around!
