Somebody asked me (thank you Dimm!) where I've been lately! Well, work is always sucking up my time in a Dracula-like fashion, but on the positive side, I done bought me a ukulele and have been teaching myself how to play it (this may take a while, let me tell you, but in a year from now, I expect to be another Don Ho--or even Don's brother, Don Hoo Hee). If any of you play the uke, PLEASE tell me that eventually I'll be able to pull off those physically impossible seeming chord fingerings!
I had time to crank out a tune tonight, and this is a song my piano teacher taught me when I was maybe 12. I recall how "adult" I felt playing and singing this--a real "grown-up" song. And I still remember the great advice she gave me: "Now Michael, you are just too young to really know what the hell you're singing about here, but just make believe that you do." This was very sound advice, although I didn't realize it at the time. The music here was written by the great jazz pianist, Joe Bushkin.
Thanks again good care now,
Michael
Accompaniment/arrangement: Alan MacPike
Vocal: Ol' Muscle Throat (especially sinewy tonight) with a sprinkle of Flonase™
Artwork: With cover art like that on the sheet music, it's an absolute certainty they sold billions of copies, right?

Good to hear another smooth song from you, Michael! Mr McPike is in form, too - the backing swings. Warm, easy, swirling vocal is a joy to listen to. And a bit of trademark humour to finish things off. Delightful!
