ah, my brain massage of the day. don't get that much, so i love it when it happens. the masseuse usually does only the left or right side, but today i got both. amazing how it can lift a fugue.
of all the goodness involved here, that little ditti ~4:05 just made me smile. just a brief appearance, but just enough. but this is one of those songs where something else will be a favorite part when i listen again later.

Always gratifying to get your feedback on the synths. I love synths, and sometimes I don't give them their due on these loud pieces. You remind me that it's worthwhile to treat them with care. I guess I got lucky with this one hahaha. You're kinda correct as far as the mixing goes. But unlike ambient, where everything counts and is so fully exposed, in this kinda stuff, a lot of glitches tend to get buried. So, in one way it's harder, what with trying to maintain order, but it's easier in that sloppiness will usually go unnoticed.

Sounds like you're in control of everything here - most people would run around screaming when they unleash a musical monster like this - you seem calm and composed. Remarkably structured and as a former drummer I love the brilliant drum programming.

The mix clean but open and compared to similar music I have heard before, it's neither as aggressive, nor as dry and lifeless. Great intro and breathers throughout the track too.

Maybe not 'my genre', but when something is this well done and creative, how can you not appreciate it...

That's very satisfying to read that a former drummer approves of my drum tracks. Wow! It's an ongoing learning experience. In my next life, I plan on taking up drums. People only run and around and scream during the recording and mixing rituals --- "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" and things of that nature. Love the atmosphere! The beginning really puts you into a deep-thought trance. Guitars came out of nowhere (which makes it awesome!)... I love to be tricked =) Assertive, rad riffs!
