Well, this was supposed to be ready for the Funk Challenge back in October, but our latest addition to the family made an early delivery, effectively putting this tune on the back-burner for a few months. Lola and baby are doing great BTW. I even had the chance to include all 3 kids names in the lyrics if you listen closely.
Funk/Rock genre is some of my favorite stuff to play and listen to, so this song possibly more than some of my other stuff feels the most authentic to the default music settings that's usually running through my head. I'm loving the happy/sexy vibe that this song gives off. It's all a celebration of long-term stable relationships and all the happenings that goes along with it. It's nice to have Lola along for the ride again, even if it's only some subtle backing vox. Ted23 works his magic here and really gave this song some attitude and style. (Exactly what I was hoping and knew he would create.) If you haven't figured it out yet, this kid can play. Love it love it! Just so you know how awesome Ed is, he graciously provided me with a truckload of guitar tracks for the tune. We ended up using about 18 different tracks at various points in the song.
