Description
This is a song for my macjam friends in London who have been asking me for the last 3 years or more to have a go at singing one of my own songs. I said I would like to try although I'm not confident as a singer, hence the long wait. I finally plugged in the mic, sat down with my guitar and came up with this little acoustic number.
Thanks to Dick, Steve and Len for encouraging me to have a go at something I have never done before.

Lyrics
She’s waiting in the rain
For the clouds to lift and ease the pain
On her worried mind
She knows what to do
To make it so clear
To ease her worried mind
She has to go back to a time and a place
Made her feel so real
And all of the time
That she’s been away
The sun never shines
No more waiting in the rain
No more waiting in the rain
She’s walking away
With the beat of the rain
On the window panes
She knows where to go
To make it so clear
To ease her worried mind
No more waiting in the rain
For the clouds to lift and ease the pain
On her worried mind
She knows what to do
To make it so clear
To ease her worried mind
She has to go back to a time and a place
Made her feel so real
And all of the time
That she’s been away
The sun never shines
No more waiting in the rain
No more waiting in the rain
She’s walking away
With the beat of the rain
On the window panes
She knows where to go
To make it so clear
To ease her worried mind
No more waiting in the rain

So glad you plugged in the mic. A lovely song and a confident and very fitting vocal performance. Nice changes and I love the guitar tone. Did you record the vocal and guitar as a single take?
