Description

Been in severe lack of inspiration for a while now so I dug into the archives and found this lying about. Had a free hour or 2 this morning so thought I would record it and throw it out there. Simple 2 tracker just me and my guitar. Hope you enjoy

Well sod me ...
he's back....and about bloody time too.

Nice track ...stands up all by itself and at te same time could be developed further ...there are traces of REM about the guitar that stand out very nicely....it is sodding difficult these days to play anything without sounding like a bit of somebody else....good tune,good tune and vox....

	Minds Eye You know this kind of stripped down approach speaks to me. I like the tune a lot. Strong melody and equally strong lyrics. The chorus stands out nicely. 	Good work in progress You've got some good bits in this song. The lyrics are thoughtful and heart-felt. I scored the track based on its current state. Stick with this one and develop it. 	Simple is better. Good choice on that score. I don't think the tune needs any more than just these two elements. I noticed that no one mentioned the lyrics, so I will (in the spirit of being constructive): I don't "get" them. Wish I did. And yet your vocal delivery is really peaceful and certain. Thanks so much for dropping in. I wrote this song many years ago and at the time I wrote lyrics which were open to interpretation. I think its about a guy who loses somebody and the feelings he has when that happened, but the lyrics could mean anything! Glad you kinda liked it though cheers

It has the makings of a knockout tune. I like the stripped down beginning, but I could hear "the band" coming in right around the first chorus. The chord you hit at 4:14 is the winning chord to go out on. And don't downplay your voice. You have a unique sound, just right for this kind of thing -- blast it out, let it go, run with it.

Yup, sometimes just the guitar and voice is enough. You put this one over well. I did think the guitar sound could have been a bit fuller.. maybe some more bass in the EQ or something?
However, this is a minor quibble. Overall a most enjoyable post.
I thought the lyrics were great... I like those ambiguous "open to interpretation" songs. thanks for posting it!
