As the paddle wheeler pulls away from the dock
There you are, barefoot, leaning back in your wooden chair on the deck in your bib overalls plucking away. This is plain happy music Chris and you bring a smile with your honest and skilled rendition.

Cheers,
Doug

I had a similar image in my bonce...
spooky ,but I suppose banjo is either synonymous with bluegrass or paddlesteamers and trad jazz.....mmm....Thanks for dropping in

I tried and tried not to
play it too fast or too swingy....apparently old Scott J did not approve of his tunes being played that way.....

Thanks

Nice!
the way that you make the tune suit a banjo rather than try and take off a piano. i think i did a version a while back that was pretty much a piano copy on a guitar. i'll have to dig it out and see what it sounds like.

Much enjoyed.

all night, just such a wonderful romp great way to make that banjo sing, whats really cool is the way you start off slow in that classic opening and you just go from there!

Oh Chris,
you are the most self effacing and genuine guy on this site. You are good and you do make me happy with everything you do. I enjoyed that. They should pipe your stuff into wards full of humbug people. They'll have to lighten up. Thanks, kid.
