Billy Playle had done a beautiful arrangement with piano and strings where he wanted lyrics and vocals for it. This was so beautiful that Michael and I had to be part of it :) This is the end result.

	Keep it simple ..is such a golden rule. Just piano, strings and voice, it really is very beautiful and sounds like so much more. Funnily enough I am more taken by the verse than by the bridge. 	lush sound Great song and a beautiful delivery. It did feel like the vocals and the instruments were fighting against each other a bit when the big swell happened around 1.30ish. Maybe the vocals and some of the strings were sharing the same frequency range and need a little EQing? Just a thought. Excellent work. Check out my latest song called Melif

Thanks for your thoughts.. I know where it is, the 1.30 ;) When mixing it, it was a matter of keeping the balance between the high frequence vocal and the lower strings in this place.. we tried keeping the dynamics of the strings and it was actually quite hard to mix :)) so I guess it's a balance which part (piano,strings,vocal) should have most priority and of course the mixers "mood" he he .. but thanks for your point of view - and for listenning :) Love Heidi

	Lovely vocal Heidi! Big piano and string sound - overwhelming the beautiful vocal in parts - the dreaded 1:30! Very rich sound, but I'd really like to hear more space in the sound - maybe less reverb? I mean it as a compliment when I say that I can imagine this in the Eurovision final this year. Lovely song! Now it's the...
Ha ha ... so now it has become "the dreaded 1:30" :))) I know theres other oppinions about how it "should/could" sound etc. and I really appreciate all your feedback, but I don't agree completely :) It's not something I thought about, the reverb I mean when mixing it.. the reverb made it more beautiful and added LOTS of romantic feeling to it. Of course it's a matter of taste.

The high strings give this a very ethereal feeling...as does your whispery vocal. You have such a pretty voice, one that, to me, is reminiscent of some of the great popular voices Disney has discovered for recent animated films (Anastasia, Tangled, Mermaid). It just draws the listener in. And, as I've said on a couple other songs you've posted, the piano is restrained And supportive without ever taking over...It may be just a touch too loud now and again. Just be careful to not overpower the vocal. nevertheless, the presentation is always very clear. And it is so wonderfully nice the actually be able to understand the lyrics without having to read them. What remarkable talents you are.
