I really enjoyed this. She sings very well and the harmonies sound great. Nice guitar work too. The mix sounds like it's missing bass or something; the fullness of the arrangement isn't coming through. It sounds like you have a very good arrangement of instrument parts, just the tone and levels need to be adjusted to bring it all out.

I hope she doesn't kill you for posting the song. She should be very proud.

Thank you. And thanks for the (bass) tip. I had some chorus on the bass
that kind of cut the bass. I took the chorus away and used a loudness
warmer plug and its sounds so mutch better. I have to learn some more in the
Mastering tecnic. ;-)

She has a lovely, strong, clear voice, and the lower
harmonies (by you?) go very well with it too. I hope
you can persuade her to do more of these beautiful
traditional songs.

Excellent vocals and harmonies.. very warm song! I was
very surprised by the guitar breaks... nice! Guitar
reminded me of Thin Lizzy. All around a nice song!

NIce guitar sounds! Her voice is great. This song has a
beautiful rhythm, melody and harmonies. The biggest
plus for this wonderful track would be a more refined mix.
Experiment
with the levels and effects. The voice sounds
great..guitars, bass needs more depth, maybe widen the
strings in the into..they sound nice and balanced toward
the end (don't know if anything was changed volume
wise).

Ryhthm section is so close, just can't put my finger on it
(mix wise, not how it's put together). Thinking out loud
here.....Nice work!

Tom, i had to do the same thing. i got this: Sami, the reindeer people previously known as Lapps, the native-indigenous people of Scandinavia. very cool sound and love the up front nature of her style. so pure and honest. i can really hear the landscape in the music.

Proving once again the wisdom of randomly surfing the
Mystery MacJammer pictures...

NOW I'm going to check out everything else you've posted.
The production is ultra clean on my speakers, but I agree w/
pgreenstone that the bass seems to disappear--it's in there,
the notes are good, I just want to turn them up a little.

But, heck, the vocals are the star of the show. The melody's
great. Must....check....out....more.....

"Deanu Majja" means "Tana's Maja" in samic. Tana or Teno (Deatnu in samic) is the large river valley that forms the border between Norway and Finland.
