I'm finding it harder and harder to finish songs off these days, and I'm not really sure this is finished either.

Lyrics are maybe self-explanatory (maybe not). Music is all me.

	I really like this Neil, I had to pull out my guitar and figure out the chord progression in the middle cause it is so cool- I think you are playing a C with an E bass to BFBE voicing (Bsus4b5)? Your comment made me go back and re-address the chords I used, and I think you are correct. Interestingly, this was a song I was thinking about asking you to add to in the short instrumental (or rather "vocal-free") sections, but then thought it sounded OK as is. Maybe next one :)
I really appreciate that you find my stuff interesting, and yes, you can't beat a Precision for recording this sort of thing.

	Talk To Myself Strange chordal progression ,,, funky almost XTC like in parts with the guitar ... almost dis-chordal but in cool way. I like the raw tone you're getting from the tele. You know, for a bass player...
...you have become this very interesting guitar player, both in terms of rhythm and snaky leads...And you've gotten good at sort of programming the whole band as if it's one huge instrument...

My recent experiment is to listen to things on these eeny weenie MacBook speakers that barely exist and see how much song comes through...Then I put on headphones and am shocked to discover how even cooler it all is...

This mix manages to survive the MacBook experience with flying colors, and then it has lots of spare oomph when the headphones are plugged in...

The lyrics are among your best, I think. Pretty straightforward, and I very much relate to them...

Only nit I have with this is maybe EQ on voice.
I posted an old mix from 2004 that has a similar problem neil, and I may remix it cuz of that. In places your voice gets hard to hear against the band. When you are going to the lower registers in your vocal scale. That seems to be the only place too Neil. When you are in the upper parts it's not a problem for me. Like maybe the bass is stepping on the voice in places? I would think EQ or maybe some compression to bring those lower parts up so they stay on top.... Same thing that is needed on the track I posted. Otherwise this is your usual killer stuff! Very original, very crisp, and I like the chording. Kinda unusual and works very well. Unusual is good!

Thanks for the listen - I really like it when people who know what they are talking about (like your good self) make helpful suggestions. I've always assumed that the low volume I get in lower frequency vocals were solely because that was the range I am softest. I've tried moving into the mic (which helps a bit) and boosting the volume in low passaes, but I hadn't really considered a clash with the bass. Best investigate!
