To Nothing

Description
This is the last track on my album "Broken Symmetries" which was previously only available on the CD. The album has been out for years and I figure there's no reason not to include it here at MJ any longer.

It's an instrumental piece that is hard to place in a genre but I suppose it resembles something like a cinematic soundtrack on it's own. The whole album was sort of a connected progression and this was meant to wrap it all up. Track one on the album is called "From Nothing".

Thanks
Thanks Smokey. There is a line in one of my other songs on the same album that goes "Twilight is forever. We're just passing through".

Rien
This has a real fragile beauty. I like how it passes through light and dark. And I like the way it defies categorization, too. Nice piece 'o work.

Sounds good Peter
this would make a good soundtrack I think.

As I recall, you did amazing animated things with underwater scenes and this certainly would fit that.

So...I'm a fine one to talk...
But what are you doing musically these days, Peter? I certainly miss you around this place...

This has a neat sort of melody/harmony and a nice build... I can imagine this playing as the end-of-CD credits roll...

Reminds me just a tiny bit of that last little song-let at the end of 'Rocky Horror'...

Hey Ed
Nice to hear from you, Ed. Honestly, I haven't done much of anything musically over the past couple of years or so. Fell out of my groove. Seems I never have time to myself anymore, at least not enough to create music.

Hopefully I'll manage to find the right balance in life to create more music which always was fulfilling.

I'm not a professional musician by any means. By day I work as an animator and 3D artist. Over the past few years I have developed a passion for songwriting and making music. I do it all myself in my home with a pretty simple setup. CLICK H... [see more]
